Counselling Therapy with Laura Lee

Advanced Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (CBT), MBACP

Laura has an advanced Diploma in therapeutic counselling from the University of Wales, Newport, where she specialised in cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). She is currently working towards a research-based Masters qualification in counselling at the university, where she also teaches Psychology and basic counselling skills.

She is a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and the Faculty for Healthcare Counsellors and Psychotherapists (FHCP). She works to the BACP professional Code of Ethics and attends regular supervision with an experienced NHS supervisor.

Laura’s background is in working with people with a range of chronic health conditions and for Age Concern’s counselling service, helping people to cope with bereavement and ill health, depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties and life changes. She is currently the counsellor in the specialist pelvic pain clinic at the University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff.
