Joanne Jackson - Nutritional Therapist

I am a BSc. qualified, registered Nutritional Therapist with a background in NHS Cancer Care. I work with individuals or groups to help optimise health and well-being using nutrition science.

During my earlier career when caring for people affected by cancer (as a Radiographer and Cancer Information Officer) it soon became apparent that following treatment many patients decided to take control and sought help to improve their nutrition and wellbeing. This and my love of food and fitness inspired me to train in Nutritional Therapy to be able to apply nutritional science in the promotion of health.

Nutritional Therapy is a scientific, whole-person approach to improving health and performance using diet, nutritional supplements and lifestyle changes.  It is not a replacement for medical advice and I will always recommend that you consult with your GP. However, Nutritional Therapy is frequently used along-side conventional medical treatment either to support treatment or to alleviate some of the side effects.

My qualifications include: BSc. Nutritional Medicine, BSc. (Hons.) Therapeutic Radiography and P.G.C.E (FE, HE, Adult). I am registered with the Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council (CNHC) and  the British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy (BANT).
